About the position

This position is for a Pharmacist in an inpatient/acute care setting, requiring a minimum of one year of experience. The role involves managing medication and ensuring compliance with various certifications and safety protocols. The pharmacist will work 10-hour shifts, including every other weekend, and will undergo orientation as required by the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Manage medication for patients in an inpatient/acute care setting.
• Ensure compliance with required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and others as applicable.
• Conduct medication tests and pharmacology competency exams.
• Verify state licenses and certifications through NURSYS and other required systems.
• Participate in hospital-required orientation and additional training as needed.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a pharmacist.
• Current state license verification (NURSYS).
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and other relevant certifications as applicable.
• Completion of medication test and pharmacology competency exam.
• Knowledge of EPIC documentation system.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Behavioral Health certification from APNAeLearning Center.
• Familiarity with Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) requirements.
• NIH Stroke Certification.
