About the position
Aya Healthcare is seeking a Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) for a 13-week assignment in Paducah, KY. This role involves providing surgical assistance in various procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a sterile environment. Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols during surgeries.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to provide optimal patient care.
- Monitor patient vitals and assist in post-operative care as needed.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- At least one year of experience in an ambulatory OR or community hospital setting.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with robotic surgery systems such as the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System.
- Familiarity with a wide range of surgical procedures including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries.
