About The Position
An HHS (Hospital Housekeeping Systems) Trash Technician collects, transports, and disposes of medical waste, recycling, and general trash within a hospital. They ensure strict compliance with health regulations, handling bio-hazardous materials, operating compactors, and maintaining a safe environment for patients to heal.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old
- Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
- Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
- Pass a background check, drug screen, and provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare)
Responsibilities
- Collect and transport general, infectious, and bio-hazardous waste to designated areas, operating equipment like compactors and carts.
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain clean, sanitized trash rooms.
