About the position

The Radiology Transporter at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital is responsible for transporting patients to and from the Radiology Department, performing clerical duties, and providing support to the department. This role requires effective communication and organizational skills to ensure a smooth operation within the Radiology Department.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the Radiology Department.
• Perform darkroom duties and order supplies.
• Stock necessary items and assist in dressing patients.
• Handle front office duties including answering telephones and greeting patients.
• Prepare requisitions for outpatients and file patient reports.
• Retrieve patient records for physicians or medical records.
• Provide clerical support using telephone, computer, and office equipment.
• Utilize PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) and run errands throughout the facility.

Requirements

• BLS Certification (AHA) required upon hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Transportation experience is preferred.
