About the position

E & A Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Transportation/Civil Engineer to join their team in Lincoln, NE. This role involves designing transportation solutions that enhance community connectivity and efficiency. The engineer will produce detailed design plans and contribute to the development of roadways and highways in Nebraska, working closely with seasoned professionals in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal staff on design projects, design plans, and specifications for urban and rural public/private roadways, including grading, erosion control, stormwater management, and sanitary sewers.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and design-related documents under the supervision of the project manager.
• Collaborate with city, county, and state regulatory or reviewing authorities to identify appropriate design criteria and limitations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an EAC/ABET, CEAB-accredited engineering program, or program that meets the NCEES Engineering Education Standard.
• Engineer in Training (E.I.T. or E.I.) Designation.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office & MicroStation.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic computations, computer modeling, and presentation of results.
• Demonstrated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Six years of progressively responsible experience.
• Registered Professional Civil Engineer.
• Demonstrated experience in OpenRoads/GEOPAK software.
