About the position
The Transportation Project Manager I - Design Build at HNTB is a pivotal role within the Design Build Organization, focusing on managing fast-paced infrastructure projects. This position is responsible for overseeing project budgets, schedules, technical requirements, and contractual obligations, ensuring quality delivery on time and within budget while maintaining client satisfaction. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders and leading project teams to achieve project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop project scope and fee quotations, assisting in technical proposals and contracts.
- Serve as the primary client liaison, managing project teams to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets.
- Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
- Implement the firm's project delivery plan and lead the execution of the project management plan.
- Coordinate with managers on project staffing, including recruitment, development, and retention of project staff.
- Assist with business development and client relationship building for strategic projects.
- Lead proposal development and interview presentations for strategic projects.
- May be responsible for recruitment, hiring, and performance reviews of staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
- 2 years of task management or Deputy PM experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Project management experience delivering Design-Build projects.
- Master's degree in Engineering.
- 10 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative engineering environment.
