About the position
The position is for a Bus Driver for the school year 2024/2025, under a 192-day contract. The role involves transporting students over specified routes according to an established time schedule, as well as to events and field trips. The bus driver must comply with traffic regulations, drive safely and professionally, and enforce the students' discipline code. Additionally, the driver is responsible for performing required pre-trip inspections and supervising students while transporting them.
Responsibilities
- Transport students over specified routes according to an established time schedule.

- Monitor and report fuel consumption, mileage, and passenger numbers.
- Report delays, accidents, and emergencies.
- Inspect the bus thoroughly before and after each trip.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
- Missouri commercial driver's license with P & S endorsements.
- Clear fingerprint background check.
- Successfully completed the pre-employment drug test within 20 days of hire.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret maps.
- Ability to write reports for pre and post trip inspections and student discipline.
- Working knowledge of first aid procedures.
