Located within the Multimodal Planning Division Traffic Safety Section, this role performs statewide crash and design exception analyses to support ADOT projects. Job duties include querying data, creating collision diagrams, and researching emerging safety technologies to provide technical briefings. Key duties include using optimization tools like Interactive Highway Safety Design Model (IHSDM) or Enhanced Interchange Safety Analysis Tool (ISATe) to refine countermeasures, calculating benefit/cost ratios, and estimating construction costs. Additionally, you will conduct field evaluations, prepare official technical reports, and provide training to team members as needed. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
