About the position
Rani Engineering is looking for a Project Manager/Professional Engineer (PE) to lead transportation design projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets while providing direction to team members. The role emphasizes communication with clients and internal teams, and the candidate will represent Rani Engineering in professional settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in roadway engineering projects, particularly with MnDOT or similar.
Responsibilities
- Lead design work on roadway projects for DOTs, counties, and cities
- Lead preparation of construction plans and reports
- Write construction specifications and prepare cost estimates
- Participate in preparing proposals and fee estimates
- Provide technical guidance and direction to team members
- Review work of team members to ensure quality
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal forms for team members and clients
- Adhere to and manage project schedules and budgets
- Review and approve drawings
- Serve as a representative for Rani at industry events and client meetings
- Collaborate with other operations staff
Requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience in transportation and roadway engineering projects
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage project schedules and budgets
- Experience in preparing construction plans and specifications
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with MnDOT projects
- Leadership experience in engineering teams
- Familiarity with CAD software
