About the position

The Transportation Business Group Professional Services Leader at HDR is responsible for overseeing various business class leads, ensuring the delivery of critical services, and enhancing technical competencies within the group. This role involves project oversight, financial management, and fostering a culture of quality assurance and continuous improvement. The leader will collaborate with various teams to streamline operations and support the growth and development of staff in GIS & Data Solutions, Strategic Communications, and Right of Way sectors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the GIS & Data Solutions, Strategic Communications, and Right of Way Cross Sector Business Class Leads.
• Develop, coordinate, monitor, and improve technical competencies of staff to meet client needs.
• Assist with daily operations, including project oversight and financial management.
• Support BCLs in leading and monitoring development and training of staff.
• Work on workload projections and coordinate workload sharing with other Business Groups.
• Supervise Project Administrative Coordinators and mentor them on HDR QA/QC guidelines.
• Lead quality assurance efforts and monitor project QC Review activities.
• Participate in project reviews and support project teams with claims management.
• Review hiring needs and participate in staffing discussions.
• Collaborate with Area operations and review fee proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in a related field.
• Maintains a professional or engineering registration.
• Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• A minimum of 15 years' experience in the industry.
• Knowledge of the Utah market.
• Active engagement in professional or industry associations.
