About the position
CityServiceValcon is seeking an experienced CDL transport driver for its bulk fuel division. The role involves delivering fuel to various locations, including gas stations, airports, and construction sites. The position requires a commitment to safety and customer service, with the expectation of being away from home for 3-5 days per week. Responsibilities
- Deliver fuel to a variety of locations including gas stations, airports, and construction sites.
- Comply with all D.O.T. industry and company safety regulations.
- Analyze and understand general business periodicals, professional journals, and government rules and regulations.
- Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume.
- Problem solve in stressful situations and make decisions based on training provided.
Requirements
- Current CDL Class A with Hazmat, Doubles/Triples, and Tanker endorsements preferred.
- 2 years of driving experience in a Class 8 vehicle.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission commercial vehicle.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Current Driver Certification Card (Physical).
- Ability to pass drug screen, reference check, background check, and motor vehicle records check.
Nice-to-haves
- Tanker and doubles experience.
- Experience operating a manual transmission.
- Knowledge and experience in the fuel and oil industry.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Computer experience, including using a tablet for dispatches and Electric Logs.
