Under direct supervision, the Transaction Assurance Analyst will support critical accounting and analytical functions by performing Credit Card transaction reconciliations for store sales and other key business processes. This role is essential for ensuring profitability through accurate transaction validation, timely resolution of exceptions, and insightful data analysis. This position sits onsite 5 days a week in Grapevine, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct transaction reconciliations with precision, adhering to GameStop’s established timeframes.
  • Investigate and resolve exceptions using tools such as Blackline, SAP, POS systems, and other downstream platforms.
  • Analyze exception trends and deliver actionable insights using tools like Excel and Power BI.
  • Assist management in documenting policies, procedures, and training for new team members.
  • Participate in special projects, including the development of new Blackline reconciliations.
  • Collaborate across departments to identify and resolve process and system inefficiencies, reduce costs, and prevent losses.
  • Prioritize and respond effectively to requests from field teams, supporting them in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Uphold team values by meeting deadlines, being flexible, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of general accounting experience; SOX experience preferred.
  • Experience working within reconciliation or sales audit software preferred (e.g., Blackline & SAP).
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and optimize the use of technologies preferred.
  • Retail experience preferred.
