About the position

The Training Specialist (Clinical Research) at Parexel plays a crucial role in ensuring that clinical trials are conducted in compliance with local regulations and international guidelines. This position is responsible for coordinating and delivering training programs for staff, implementing the Learning Management System (LMS), and supporting continuous improvement in training processes. The role is 100% onsite at the Glendale, CA unit and involves proactive training on various learning activities, developing structured orientations for new hires, and maintaining training records and curricula.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform awareness, orientation, and skills training for all staff involved in clinical trials.
• Implement and support the Learning Management System (LMS) for the Early Phase Clinical Unit (EPCU).
• Develop and present structured New Hire Orientation for new personnel.
• Ensure operational staff is knowledgeable of local and global regulations and guidelines.
• Provide, lead, and curate staff training as needed.
• Work with Department Managers to maintain Group Learning Plans and Competency Models.
• Schedule, communicate, and document training provided by sponsors.
• Maintain internal Controlled Documents for staff training and compliance.
• Conduct annual gap analysis on training needs in collaboration with local HR and management.
• Support mentoring programs across departments.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of related experience in clinical research.
• Prior training experience is required.
• Well-developed presentation skills for leading large meetings and trainings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
