About the position

The Training & Development Business Partner for Developmental and Brain Injury Residential Services is responsible for creating and managing training programs tailored to the needs of the divisions. This hybrid role involves assessing training needs, developing new training initiatives, and ensuring that all training activities align with the organization's goals and budget.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain training calendar for the service line, scheduling facilitators, locations, and topics for trainings.
  • Manage and develop the implementation of new and ongoing training and development initiatives based on divisional needs.
  • Provide summary reports to the service line management team to determine the impact of training on program staff and establish future training needs/goals.
  • Co-facilitate trainings with the Clinical Directors within the service line.
  • Meet with the service line VP monthly to report on training initiatives and review division needs.
  • Participate in needs analysis for developing training strategies and track and evaluate training performance.
  • Mentor managers, direct support staff, and individuals supported to become trainers.
  • Write and facilitate workshop proposals for presentation at local and national conferences.
  • Ensure all training-related activities are within authorized budgets.
  • Attend all divisional leadership meetings as required.
  • Ensure that individuals supported are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates' Human Rights Policy.
  • Adhere to all principles related to The Advocates Way.
  • Attend and actively participate in supervision and staff meetings.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures.
  • Strictly follow all agency performance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Services or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Developmental Services/Brain Injury Services fields.
  • Superior public speaking skills and ability to conduct workshops and trainings.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of the population served.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations (preferred).
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel).
  • High energy level and superior interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to function in a team atmosphere.
  • Valid driver's license and access to an operational and insured vehicle for travel between sites.
