About the position

The Training Analyst/Facilitator II position at Amentum involves supporting training and certifying students as Small Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) operators within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. The role requires excellent communication skills and attention to detail, with responsibilities including instruction, examination administration, and maintaining a quality training program.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction or assisted instruction using existing lesson plans and prepared materials.
• Administer examinations or informal tests as needed.
• Instruct and certify operators, UAS unit instructors, evaluators, and program managers according to the Group 1 UAS Training and Readiness Manual.
• Assist staff with collateral duties to maintain a quality training program and provide support services for UAV/UAS asset management.
• May require some travel.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Familiarity and experience in the field of instruction, expected to perform required Instructor duties after training and course completion.
• Ability to qualify for and obtain a Class III FAA flight physical prior to employment.
• Possession of a valid U.S. Drivers License.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance, requiring US Citizenship.
• Meet the requirements to be Range Safety Officer (RSO) for the TALSA location.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate of any Group 1 or 2 UAS initial qualification training courses (e.g., Raven, DDL, PUMA AE, WASP III, WASP IV, Skydio, VXE30, TRV-150).
• Experience leading field instruction operations.
• Experience in curriculum development.
• Military background.
• Active Secret clearance, requiring US Citizenship.
• Current Class III FAA flight physical.
