About the position

The Trainee Residential Worker position at Anglicare WA's Refuge service is a part-time role focused on providing support to women and children experiencing Family and Domestic Violence (FDV). This traineeship offers the opportunity to gain practical experience while completing a Certificate III or IV in Community Services. The role involves delivering person-centred services, assisting with daily needs, and participating in case management to ensure quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical support to clients in the residential refuge accommodation.
• Conduct room checks, cleaning, maintenance, and auditing of supplies and linen.
• Assist with the transport of clients to appointments and children to school.
• Participate in case management/review meetings and residential meetings.
• Ensure adherence to program standards and quality service delivery.

Requirements

• Willingness to complete a Certificate III or IV in Community Services within the contract timeframe.
• Ability to effectively manage workload, set priorities, and work flexibly.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to articulate and reflect upon personal and professional values.
• Ability to be innovative, flexible, and work independently under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team setting.
• Possession of a current National Police Clearance valid within one year.
• WA Working with Children Check and a WA Driver's Licence.

Benefits

• Salary range of $72,829 - $74,916 per annum + 11.5% superannuation.
