About The Position
Transport Refrigeration (TRI) is hiring a full-time Trailer Technician for our Rockford shop. This hands-on role is a great opportunity to break into the diesel and trailer repair industry with on the job training and mentorship. TRI is looking for a Trailer Technician to inspect, repair, and properly document trailer repairs. You will assist with lighting, wiring, brake replacements, and door repairs. You will also shadow experienced welders and insulation technicians and gain knowledge of shop safety, tools, and repair documentation standards.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude or vocational/technical school background
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in an active shop environment
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, and properly document trailer repairs
- Assist with lighting, wiring, brake replacements, and door repairs
- Shadow experienced welders and insulation technicians
- Gain knowledge of shop safety, tools, and repair documentation standards
