About the position
The position is responsible for providing analytical support to FIS' Global Corporate Compliance Group's Export Control & Trade Compliance program. The role involves evaluating and analyzing trade sanctions and restricted party screening results, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and participating in training and compliance awareness initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide analytical support to the Export Control & Trade Compliance program.
- Evaluate and analyze trade sanctions and restricted party screening results.
- Perform trade sanctions and restricted party screening of entities using third-party screening tools.
- Monitor compliance activities to ensure regulatory deadlines and requirements are met.
- Participate in the development of compliance sessions and presentations.
- Conduct training to promote compliance awareness.
- Provide guidance and cross-training to team members.
- Identify areas for potential improvement in compliance processes.
- Prepare and distribute internal communications regarding compliance matters and metrics.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of compliance areas such as trade sanctions, OFAC regulations, AML, BSA, or export controls.
- Associate Degree (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in the regulatory compliance field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan and complete work within tight deadlines.
- Experience in conducting compliance monitoring programs.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
