The Toxic Tort Asbestos Paralegal position is a permanent role based in California, offering a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $100,000. The role involves managing complex litigation cases, drafting legal documents, and collaborating with attorneys to support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities

  • Manage Complex Cases: Handle multiple intricate litigation matters simultaneously, demonstrating your ability to juggle priorities effectively.
  • Monitor and Assess: Keep a close eye on case filings and provide comprehensive assessments to our attorneys to support strategic decision-making.
  • Draft Legal Documents: Prepare initial drafts of various pre-trial motions, dispositive motions, and other legal pleadings with precision and clarity.
  • Evaluate Discovery Documents: Review and analyze essential discovery materials including medical records, sales documents, and employment records to build strong cases.
  • Compose Case Assessments: Create thorough case evaluations for review by associates and partners, contributing to our team's collaborative success.
  • Manage Billable Time: Ensure accurate and timely accounting of your billable hours for seamless project management.

Requirements

  • Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years in asbestos litigation is essential.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities to manage complex tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with attorneys and fellow paralegals, fostering teamwork and achieving shared goals.
  • Independent and Team Player: Ability to work autonomously while also contributing positively to a larger team dynamic.
