About the position
The position involves cleaning and maintaining trucks, vehicles, and machinery while adhering to safety regulations and quality standards. The role is essential in supporting the food distribution system and offers opportunities for growth within a safe and inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
- Pre-soak or rinse machine parts, equipment, or vehicles by immersing objects in cleaning solutions or water, manually or using hoists.
- Scrub, scrape, or spray machine parts, equipment, or vehicles, using scrapers, brushes, cloths, cleaners, disinfectants, insecticides, acid, abrasives, vacuums, or hoses.
- Clean and polish vehicle windows.
- Monitor operation of cleaning machines and stop machines or notify supervisors when malfunctions occur.
- Lubricate machinery, vehicles, or equipment or perform minor repairs or adjustments, using hand tools.
- Maintain inventories of supplies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
- 0-3 months experience in warehouse and/or production environment
Nice-to-haves
- 3-6 months experience in warehouse and/or production environment
- OSHA Forklift operator certificate
- Commercial Driver's License
