Penske Truck Leasing, a leader in the transportation industry, is offering a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about heavy-duty shop equipment and tools. As an Equipment Repair Technician (SETS), you will be responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on shop equipment and tools within your assigned geographical area at Penske service facilities. This is an entry-level role with 10-hour shifts, four days a week, Monday through Friday. Your contributions will positively impact maintenance facility operations, technicians, supervisors, and service managers, ultimately supporting the overall success of the business. A typical day involves driving a Shop Equipment & Tooling Support (SETS) truck, interacting with technicians, maintenance supervisors, and service managers to complete inspections throughout the workday. Inspections will be completed digitally to capture information and automate approval processes, summary reporting, and inventory management. Some days will involve same-day returns home, while others will require travel to multiple locations, with returns home every weekend. You will collaborate with the Tooling & Service Bay Technology team to identify opportunities for process and tooling improvements. Penske's tooling and equipment are crucial for our world-class technicians and customer service representatives to perform quality preventative maintenance and repairs on over 400,000 vehicles. Your technical skills and team commitment will help us continue to drive customer success. We are interested in candidates with strong automotive or heavy-duty technical knowledge of tools and equipment, who are process-driven and can actively listen to different perspectives.
