About the position
The Tool Setter for Plastics Injection Molding is responsible for supporting operations by prestaging, preheating, installing, and removing molds from thermoplastic injection molding machines. This role involves troubleshooting general mold issues and ensuring quality workmanship while adhering to safety and productivity standards. The position is critical in maintaining the efficiency of the manufacturing process in a top plastics manufacturing company in Arlington, TX.
Responsibilities
- Prestaging, preheating, installing, and removing molds from injection molding machines.
- Troubleshooting general mold issues including cooling water, hydraulic, and pneumatic leaks.
- Building, repairing, and installing structural foam injection nozzles.
- Providing quality workmanship in the installation and removal of injection molds.
- Monitoring, directing, and supervising tool setter activity on the floor.
Requirements
- Strong general mechanical skills including knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and thermodynamics.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Normal color vision.
- Forklift and overhead crane certification.
- Good communication skills.

- Experience in manufacturing for 2 years.
- Experience in plastics injection molding for 2 years.
- Experience as a tool setter for 2 years.
- Experience in tooling for 1 year.
