About the position
The Tolling Operator position involves monitoring and managing tolling systems and equipment to ensure efficient operation and revenue protection. The role requires proactive analysis of tolling equipment, incident management, and effective communication with stakeholders and the public. As technology evolves, the Tolling Operator will adapt to new systems and processes, ensuring accurate toll information is disseminated and maintained.
Responsibilities
- Monitor tolling systems and network to identify and resolve issues.
- Provide support for toll-related inquiries and maintain documentation.
- Train others in the Toll Analyst position according to approved guidelines.
- Verify correct toll rates are displayed on Express Lanes corridors.
- Utilize various software and equipment for monitoring tolling operations.
- Document toll-related events and arrange data for reporting.
- Communicate updates to the public regarding tolling and traffic incidents.
- Support traffic incident management duties and maintain up-to-date information on signs.
- Monitor Advanced Vehicle Location (AVL) software for fleet management.
- Capture incidents on Express Lanes corridors for safety enforcement.
Requirements
- Proficiency in toll system analysis and monitoring equipment.
- Experience with traffic incident management and documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and the public.
- Familiarity with tolling technologies and software platforms.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a transportation or tolling environment.
- Knowledge of Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) operations.
