About the position
As a Toddler Teacher at Primrose School of Champlin Park, you will create a nurturing and engaging environment for children aged 18 months to almost 3 years. Your role will involve implementing a daily schedule of purposeful play to help children develop motor skills and vocabulary, while fostering genuine relationships with each child. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in Early Childhood Education or daycare, who are passionate about making a difference in young children's lives.
Responsibilities
- Create a fun and safe environment for toddlers aged 18 months to almost 3 years.
- Implement lesson plans from the Balanced Learning® curriculum with your co-teacher.
- Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages exploration and decision-making.
- Build genuine relationships with each child and support their individual learning needs.
- Help children navigate the classroom environment and develop their motor skills and vocabulary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Childcare CPR Certification.
- Child Development Associate Certification (preferred).
- 1 year of childcare experience (preferred).
- Experience in Early Childhood Education or daycare.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a Lead teacher or Assistant teacher.
