About the position
Ivywood Academy is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals for the roles of Toddler Teacher and Assistant Teacher. These positions are focused on providing a nurturing and enriching environment for young learners, ensuring their development and well-being through engaging educational practices.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum for toddlers as a Toddler Teacher.
- Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Monitor and assess children's development and progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about child development and behavior.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational approach.
- Support the lead teacher in executing the curriculum and daily activities as an Assistant Teacher.
- Assist with classroom management and supervision of toddlers.
- Help prepare and organize teaching materials and classroom resources.
- Build positive relationships with children and parents.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements
- Associated degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field for Toddler Teacher; Bachelor degree preferred.
- Previous experience teaching toddlers in an educational setting for Toddler Teacher.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles for Toddler Teacher.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills for Toddler Teacher.
- High school diploma or equivalent for Assistant Teacher; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Experience working with young children is a plus for Assistant Teacher.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team for Assistant Teacher.
- Enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing attitude for Assistant Teacher.
