About The Position

This role is for a TL Production position on the 1st shift. The position requires leading and developing assigned employees to ensure the manufacture of components, products, and systems within agreed quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) standards. It involves leading production activities to meet requirements and achieve KPIs, determining manufacturing priorities, and directing personnel actions including selection, training, performance appraisal, and safety procedures. The role also includes directing routine equipment set-up and maintenance, and establishing/refining instructions and procedures for QCD improvements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and business acumen.
• Broad manufacturing experience, preferably acquired within Schaeffler.
• Knowledge of production processes, measurement & inspection procedures, production planning & control, budget process, MS-Office and SAP.
• Ability to manage and lead team leaders and other direct reports.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.
• Must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

• Experience supervising is helpful but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop assigned employees to ensure manufacture of components, products and systems, within agreed quality, cost and delivery (QCD) standards.
• Lead production activities to ensure that products meet all requirements and to achieve KPIs agreed.
• Determine manufacturing priorities to match weekly production schedules and make respective assignments.
• Direct personnel actions, including selection, training, performance appraisal and safety procedures.
• Direct routine equipment set-up and maintenance and check for accomplishment.
• Establish instructions and refine procedures, when necessary, in order to contribute to improvements in QCD.
