About the position
The Title Clerk position is a full-time role focused on managing automotive titling processes efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in automotive office settings and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with state requirements for title and tag work, while also providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Ensures retail transactions are processed in a timely manner.
- Prepares purchase and trade-in documentation.
- Contacts banks to obtain lien releases.
- Prepares necessary paperwork for submission to the tag agency.
- Ensures the dealer's tag and title work meets state requirements.
- Prepares and submits all legal transfer documents to the state department of motor vehicles.
- Answers all customer inquiries in a professional manner.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of automotive titling experience.
- At least 3 years of automotive office experience.
- High degree of accuracy and time management.
- Customer service background with phone and computer experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to give 110% to get the job done correctly.
- Professional demeanor.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and input data with accuracy and efficiency in a high-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
