About the position

The Third Party & Risk Management Coordinator is responsible for promoting and facilitating the sale of bank products while ensuring compliance with banking laws and regulations. This role involves reviewing documents, preparing reports, and assisting in compliance and risk management activities to support the bank's growth and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and market bank products to new and existing customers.
  • Conduct compliance and quality control reviews on banking regulations.
  • Prepare responses to compliance review results for reporting to the Board.
  • Manage the Board Review, Approval, and Acknowledgment Schedule for policy presentations.
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting CRA activity to appropriate committees.
  • Coordinate regulatory training sessions and maintain compliance with examination results.
  • Assist in preparation for regulatory exams and external audits.
  • Maintain informational resources for federal and state regulations.
  • Monitor the bank's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and update annual reports.
  • Validate existing controls to minimize TPRM risk and liability.
  • Work with vendors to acquire due diligence documents and maintain TPRM records.
  • Coordinate project activities and communicate project status to all participants.
  • Ensure compliance with BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • General knowledge of federal regulations such as ECOA, HMDA, FCRA, RESPA, TILA, and UDAAP.
  • Education and certification from recognized sources in banking compliance is a plus.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and regulatory documents.
  • Strong writing skills for reports and business correspondence.
  • Mathematical skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Reasoning ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficient in basic information systems, database software, and spreadsheet software.
