This role involves applying psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions to treat diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders in individuals and families. The therapist will conduct psychosocial assessments, develop initial discharge plans, and lead individual, group, or family therapy sessions as part of the patient's treatment plan. Responsibilities also include initial treatment planning, coordinating additional services, and maintaining accurate documentation of therapy services according to facility and professional standards. The therapist will manage an assigned caseload, participate in treatment team meetings, and collaborate with staff to ensure patient needs are met. Services may be provided in inpatient or outpatient settings, and may include case management, discharge, or aftercare planning.
