About The Position

The Testing & Validation Analyst II is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of systems, applications, and business processes through structured testing and validation. This role designs and executes test strategies, develops test cases, and analyzes results to identify defects, risks, and gaps against defined requirements and regulatory standards. Working cross-functionally with business stakeholders, developers, and project teams, the analyst validates that solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements, supports defect resolution, and ensures readiness for deployment, while maintaining detailed documentation, tracking testing progress, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing methodologies, tools, and overall quality assurance practices.

Requirements

  • BS/BA and 3+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office / Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience as an advanced user of multiple business software applications and working knowledge of key technical applications such as SQL, Oracle based platforms, and Golden 32.
  • Experience in SQL queries and writing test plans/ cases required.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (UAT, integration, regression, end-to-end testing)
  • Ability to design complex test scenarios, use cases, and acceptance criteria
  • Ability to clearly translate business requirements into testable conditions
  • Ability to gather and document business requirements and client specifications
  • Advanced ability to analyze claims adjudication results and interpret discrepancies
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business, IT, and operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, especially for documenting test results and issues
  • Capability to present findings and recommendations to leadership or non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of healthcare/Medicaid/FFS and MCO program structures
  • Understanding of data validation and environment promotion processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and accountability
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmacy Technician License or National Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage Configuration Services best practices to validate design objectives, processes, and procedures, including development of data sets, test scenarios, expected results, and acceptance criteria.
  • Design, standardize, and maintain testing scenarios, use cases, and expected outcomes to improve testing efficiency, consistency, and repeatability.
  • Collaborate with business partners and cross-functional teams to validate configuration accuracy for ongoing maintenance, new client implementations, and special projects.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by confirming that business requirements—particularly benefit change requests—are clearly understood, accurately documented, thoroughly tested, and effectively communicated.
  • Execute testing scenarios and analyze claims adjudication outcomes to identify discrepancies, inaccuracies, anomalies, and unintended impacts; provide recommendations and implement solutions to improve configuration accuracy and performance.
  • Support and mentor team members by assisting in the development and analysis of complex test plans, design validations, and execution strategies.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement by adhering to departmental standards and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and overall testing efficiency.
  • Validate adjudication configurations and support the promotion of approved changes from test environments to production in accordance with established governance and best practices.
