About The Position

The Testing Coordinator role at IDEA Hardy Academy is crucial for ensuring that teachers and leaders can make confident, data-driven decisions to support 100% of students in their journey to and through college. This role ensures that all students take appropriate tests in a standardized testing environment and that eligible students receive approved accommodations. Successful execution of this role allows the leadership team to focus on students' social-emotional support and family engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure 100% of students at the school/campus have high-quality testing environments for district, state, and national tests.
  • Attend 100% of scheduled trainings with the national Assessment Team and actively participate in learning opportunities.
  • Create and communicate the campus testing plan for all assessments to management, lead team, teachers, and staff.
  • Communicate testing schedules and updates to students' parents/families.
  • Coordinate with campus IT to ensure all computers for online testing are updated and ready.
  • Ensure all applicable campus staff and students have access to the appropriate online testing system.
  • Prepare 100% of testing bins 72 hours in advance of testing dates, including materials for small group testing and supplemental materials.
  • Review testing bin contents with test administrators two days prior to testing and ensure they understand implementation.
  • Audit all accommodation and supplemental materials with the school's special population point person prior to testing dates.
  • Process and manage state assessment materials according to district guidelines, checking them in and out from the National Assessment Team.
  • Audit 100% of paper state test booklets and answer documents with a trained lead team member to ensure accuracy of student information.
  • Ensure on-time execution of 100% of deliverables requested by the National Assessment Team, including data reporting and student counts.
  • May be appointed as the school’s designated ACT Test Coordinator, preACT Test Coordinator, and/or AP Coordinator.
  • Lead all campus testing training to educate staff on assessment policies and procedures.
  • Schedule bi-weekly meetings with special point persons to ensure accommodations are entered/updated in the system.
  • Schedule meetings with test proctors at least two days ahead of the test to ensure proper implementation of accommodations.
  • Oversee all testing sessions to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ask for and provide feedback to test support staff, proctors, and leaders after each testing session for improvement.
  • Set up and monitor all online testing systems and implementation to ensure 100% of students are tested with approved accommodations.
  • Partner with the campus IT tech to ensure 100% of equipment is prepared for online assessments 48 hours in advance.
  • Lead the investigation of irregularities at the campus level and report incidents to the National Assessment Team.
  • Ensure 100% of teachers and leaders have access to all assessment systems required for accessing, administering, and analyzing student data.
  • Update Edcite Distribution Groups to ensure the teacher of record has access to district exams.
  • Serve as the primary point person at the campus for all testing systems, training, and support.
  • Monitor the scanning of assessments to ensure the campus meets the 95% multiple-choice components scanned within 24 hours of testing.
  • Track and monitor testing to ensure 100% of eligible students complete all applicable assessments.
