Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Industrial Technology or related
  • 3 years of directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 2 years of additional relevant industrial experience preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial processes and welding.
  • Knowledge in both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Detailed and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; ability to gather and analyze data and information and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to work with associates of all levels including managers effectively and respectfully, engineers, machine operators, quality technicians, line supervisors, and maintenance technicians.
  • Strong computer skills including spreadsheet and desktop programs required.
  • Regular attendance required; overtime may be required, based on business needs.
  • Willingness and ability to work any shift, including weekends, is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily operations for conformance to standard process specifications.
  • Hands-on support of manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshooting process problems and documentation of corrective actions including starting RFD.
  • Assist in training of production personnel on new products, equipment and processes.
  • Conduct trials for the department. This includes gathering data and analyzing information.
  • Ensure all database information and reporting is both timely and accurate.
  • Identify trends, resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or working with engineering team to provide resolution.
  • Help remedy malfunctions in collaboration with Engineering and Production.
  • Assist Department in the startup and evaluation of new products and processes.
  • Work with Test Engineers to implement process improvements.
  • Assist in production calibrations, improvements and corrective actions.
  • Identify and report safety issues to proper channels
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned
