About the position

The Territory Sales Representative will focus on the Texas territory, representing Flomatic Valves, a leading manufacturer in the water and wastewater industry. This role involves nurturing relationships with various stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and municipalities, to drive sales and expand market presence. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen to deliver tailored solutions to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships and generate sales with key players in the water and wastewater market.
  • Drive territory growth by developing custom solutions and strategies for customers.
  • Conduct on-site and remote product presentations and technical discussions.
  • Set and pursue ambitious sales targets within the designated region.
  • Provide technical training on new products and industry trends to internal teams and customers.
  • Follow up on sales leads to generate new business opportunities.
  • Manage time and prioritize high-impact sales activities efficiently.
  • Cold-call and schedule sales appointments with decision-makers.
  • Prepare and submit detailed sales and travel reports.
  • Work closely with Inside Sales & Customer Service to address inquiries and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Participate in major account sales efforts to support long-term relationships.
  • Attend regional trade shows and events to promote Flomatic Valves.
  • Develop accurate short and mid-term sales forecasts and meet sales goals.
  • Adhere to company sales policies and develop competitive strategies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with strategic accounts.
  • Manage OEM-specific sales opportunities and ensure customer understanding of products.
  • Submit monthly sales, budget, and expense reports.
  • Support efforts to maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., engineering, industrial sales).
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience within the water and wastewater industry, preferably with valve or related products.
  • Strong understanding of water systems, valves, pumps, and municipal water applications.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), CRM systems, and industry-specific tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player, capable of working across departments.
