Responsibilities

  • Drive sales in the education sector across Texas and surrounding states.
  • Manage key accounts and develop new business opportunities.
  • Utilize technical sales expertise to sell engineering and scientific training equipment.
  • Map out the sector and self-generate new business sales.
  • Forecast and budget accurately for sales activities.
  • Manage the sales pipeline and close deals effectively.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

Requirements

  • External technical sales experience.
  • Experience in mapping out a sector and self-generating new business sales.
  • Familiarity with technical engineering and scientific training equipment.
  • Experience selling technical products to universities and research institutions.
  • Understanding of university buying procedures and market nuances.
  • Sales management experience or senior business development experience.
  • Ability to accurately forecast and manage budgets.
  • Strong pipeline management and closing skills.
  • Engineering or Science degree or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional relationship management and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for selling to various levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the education sector is preferred but not mandatory.
  • An engineering qualification is advantageous but not essential.
