About the position

The Tennis Professional at Elite Sports Clubs is responsible for delivering high-quality tennis instruction and programming to members of all ages and skill levels. This role involves providing lessons, developing clinics, organizing events, and fostering a positive environment for tennis enthusiasts. The position requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about tennis and committed to promoting the sport as a lifelong activity for health and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group tennis lessons to members of all ages and skill levels, focusing on technique, strategy, and game improvement.
• Develop and implement engaging and innovative tennis clinics, camps, and programs for adults and juniors.
• Organize and supervise tennis leagues, tournaments, and social events to promote member engagement and community-building.
• Maintain tennis courts and equipment, ensuring safety and cleanliness at all times.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and sportsmanship among players.
• Assist in promoting tennis programs and events through marketing efforts and outreach to members.
• Collaborate with other tennis staff and department directors to ensure seamless operations and exceptional member experiences.

Requirements

• USPTA or PTR certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a tennis instructor or coach, preferably in a club or recreational setting.
• Strong playing ability and comprehensive knowledge of tennis technique, strategy, and rules.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with members of all ages and backgrounds.
• Proven track record of organizing and leading successful tennis programs and events.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate member schedules and programming needs.
• Passion for tennis and a commitment to promoting the sport as a lifelong activity for health and wellness.
