About The Position

The Temporary Provider Support Coordinator possesses the skills and abilities to multi-task with ease, work independently and proactively in a structured and highly regulated environment. The Temporary Provider Support Coordinator will contribute to the achievement of the highest degree of integrity of the department’s work and ensure the best possible service to clients and childcare providers. Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Temporary Provider Support Coordinator is responsible for organizing timely and accurate provider orientations, maintaining centralized provider files, entering and ensuring accurate provider data in our database and following up with clients and subsidy staff to resolve questions and ensure contract compliance.

Requirements

  • Two years’ experience in a non-profit organization.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent administrative/organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals and childcare providers.
  • Proficiency and experience working with database entry and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail a must.
  • Ability to work independently in a structured environment.
  • Flexibility to work an occasional evening and weekend.
  • Knowledge of procedures and programs administered by the Family Services Department.
  • A background clearance is required.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish Required

  • Knowledge of subsidy programs and/or child development programs a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts group trainings, orientations and intake interviews to assist childcare providers with filling out required paperwork and understanding childcare subsidy requirements.
  • Creates, adapts and updates materials, handouts and curricula for provider orientations.
  • Maintains files of required provider information (provider licenses, rate documentation, brochures, tax information, and intake paperwork) for audit and informational purposes.
  • Provides ongoing support, follow up, communication and resources to subsidy childcare providers.
  • Stays current on current legislation and Title 5 regulations related to childcare.
  • Tracks, records and updates all provider orientation, Trust line and direct deposit information.
  • Reviews, verifies and updates all provider rate documentation and inputs information into database.
  • Communicates, in a timely and efficient manner, with Family Service Staff regarding rate changes, and responds to questions from FSS/PT regarding rates and setting up contracts.
  • Troubleshoots errors and works with staff to ensure accuracy of program data.
  • Answers related calls, disseminates messages, assists with copying, faxing, and the setting-up and general management of meetings, orientations, and other special functions and activities.
  • Assists with daily operations of the Compliance and Program Supports Department.
  • Presents at childcare provider meetings and related conferences to answer questions and provide information about CCSF programs.
  • Attends meetings related to Compliance and Program Supports Department service delivery and staff development.
  • Collaborates on other Compliance and Program Supports Department functions and with agency staff on special projects and events by putting the community, the agency, the department ahead of individual interests.
  • Demonstrates and holds individual and collective work to the highest level of integrity.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
