About the position
The University of New Mexico Los Alamos is seeking Temporary Part-Time faculty to serve as Proctors for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) courses. This role involves overseeing both online and face-to-face classes at the 100 or 200 level, contingent upon student enrollment and course offerings each semester. The position emphasizes teaching excellence and requires instructors to manage all aspects of their classes, including content delivery, grading, and student assessment.
Responsibilities
- Proctor online and/or face-to-face Emergency Medical Services courses.
- Manage all aspects of the class including content delivery, assignment development, and grading.
- Report grades and assess student learning as outlined by the Program Coordinator.
- Meet with the class during assigned times.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current New Mexico State EMS License at or above the level of proctoring.
- Demonstrated experience related to the role sought.
Nice-to-haves
- 2 years related (EMS or medical) experience.
- Current National Registry Paramedic Certification.
- Current UNM EMS Academy I/C credential and affiliation.
