About the position
The University of New Mexico Los Alamos is seeking Temporary Part-Time faculty to teach Developmental Mathematics courses at the 1000 level. This role involves teaching both online and face-to-face classes, with positions contingent upon student enrollment and course offerings each semester. The faculty will be responsible for all aspects of course delivery, including content development, grading, and assessment of student learning.
Responsibilities
- Teach online and/or face-to-face Developmental Mathematics courses at the 1000 level.
- Meet with students during assigned class times.
- Deliver course content effectively.
- Develop assignments and assessments for students.
- Grade assignments and report grades in a timely manner.
- Assess student learning as outlined by the Program Coordinator.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Math Education, or a related field with at least five years of teaching experience in mathematics at the middle or high school levels.
