About the position

The University of New Mexico Los Alamos is seeking Temporary Part-Time faculty to teach online and/or face-to-face Business courses at the 1000 or 2000 level. This role is contingent upon student enrollment levels and current course offerings, with positions potentially filled or eliminated each semester. The faculty will be responsible for all aspects of course delivery, including content delivery, assignment development, grading, and assessment of student learning.

Responsibilities

  • Teach online and/or face-to-face Business courses at the 1000 or 2000 level.
  • Develop course content and assignments as per the curriculum requirements.
  • Grade assignments and report grades in a timely manner.
  • Assess student learning outcomes as outlined by the Program Coordinator.
  • Meet with students during assigned class times.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in the discipline or subfield for which you are applying OR a master's degree in another discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the relevant field.
  • Successful completion of Higher Learning Commission's accreditation requirements for faculty.

Nice-to-haves

  • Successful teaching experience in a post-secondary institution.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success.
  • Online teaching experience.
  • Terminal degree in the discipline or subfield (Ph.D., MFA, etc.).
  • Residence in New Mexico.
