About the position
The Teller (Floater) position at Arvest Bank involves accepting and processing transactions from customers while providing exceptional customer service. The role requires flexibility as the incumbent will float to various branches as needed, working primarily Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays. The Teller will engage customers to identify their needs and refer them to product specialists, contributing to branch sales goals and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Accept and process transactions from customers via personal contact, mail, and night deposit.
- Engage customers in discovery conversations to determine their product needs and refer them to appropriate product specialists.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by displaying friendliness and professionalism.
- Accurately process customer teller transactions and adhere to bank policies and procedures.
- Cash checks and withdrawals up to authorized limits and request authorization for larger transactions.
- Prepare daily settlements of teller cash and proof transactions.
- Explain bank policies and procedures to customers as needed.
- Balance cash drawer to transactions daily.
- Open new accounts if successfully completed FSR training.
- Comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Sales experience, cash handling, customer service, or experience in a bank or financial service provider preferred.
- Ability to arrive at work on time and maintain regular attendance.
- Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and provide cordial customer service.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a stressful atmosphere.
- Ability to rotate job tasks and occasionally work overtime.
- Strong verbal communication skills with associates and customers.
- Proficiency in operating office equipment such as telephones, scanners, copiers, and FAX machines.
- Ability to operate a personal computer and create reports and documentation.
