About the position
The Telemetry LPN is a part-time position at St. Joseph Medical Center, responsible for providing essential nursing care and monitoring to patients in the telemetry unit. This role involves ensuring the proper functioning of telemetry monitoring equipment, performing wound care, recording and interpreting vital signs, and collaborating with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide essential nursing care and monitoring to patients in the telemetry unit.
- Ensure telemetry monitoring equipment is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions.
- Perform wound care and dressing changes.
- Record and interpret vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels.
- Collaborate with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals to report any changes in patient condition.
Requirements
- Current and valid state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Current BLS certification upon hire and maintain current certification.
- IV certification upon hire (state specific).
