The Telehealth Customer Service Agent position at HCA Healthcare's Urgent Care - Practice Ops is designed to provide high-quality, efficient care to patients through effective communication and support. Responsibilities

  • Insurance verification and explanation of benefits to patients.
  • Responding to incoming calls from customers routed from CareNow clinics.
  • Quoting estimated wait times for patients.
  • Accessing and reading notes and referral orders in Urgent Care EMR.
  • Registering Web Check-Ins for patients in EMR when indicated.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving problems for patients.
  • Communicating and coordinating with internal departments.
  • Making outbound calls to Web Check-In patients as needed.
  • Following up with patients regarding customer care questions.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in a medical office setting.
  • 1+ years of experience in a Customer Service or help desk capacity.
  • Experience using Experity for electronic health records or an EHR system is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle complaints and unpleasant patients in a professional manner.
