About The Position

This position will perform installations, maintenance, diagnoses, construction, and services to a variety of telecommunications equipment to include large public safety land mobile and microwave systems. Requirements

Completion of a certified vocational trade school program in telecommunications, electronics, or a related field; OR, One (1) year of experience in the installation of mobile radios, radars, or other basic electronic systems.
Incumbents must have a reputation for honesty and trustworthiness.
Felony convictions may be disqualifying.
Misdemeanor convictions may be disqualifying depending on type, number, severity, and recency.
Prior to appointment, candidates will be subject to a thorough background investigation which may include a psychological, truth verification or other examination or test.
As part of the County of San Diego’s pre-employment process, prospective candidates will undergo a background check (including fingerprinting) and a pre-employment medical screening prior to beginning County employment.
