About the position
The Telecommunications Field Technician role at iNet involves working primarily outdoors in the oil and gas sector, focusing on the installation, pointing, and commissioning of RF systems components. This position is essential for supporting the company's growth and requires a reliable individual who can work in various environments and manage multiple job sites effectively.
Responsibilities
- Install, point, and commission RF systems components such as LTE, wireless point-to-point or multipoint radios, VSAT, or microwave systems.
- Drive to and from different job sites using a company vehicle.
- Work primarily outdoors in remote locations, often in an oil and gas environment.
- Participate in a shift rotation and on-call rotation as scheduled.
- Complete safety and customer-specific training and certifications.
Requirements
- 3+ years of previous experience in telecommunications, wireless, basic internet industry, and/or electrical, telephone utilities.
- Military experience in communications or electronic systems preferred.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift rig kit equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and evenings as required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with RF systems components installation and commissioning.
- Familiarity with safety protocols in outdoor work environments.
