About the position
The Technology Vice President, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Data Management at GDIT is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the strategic direction and technical architecture of AI and data management initiatives. This position involves engaging with customers, leading project delivery, and ensuring the successful execution of complex projects that align with the Department of Defense's mission. The role requires a strong focus on team leadership, project management, and the development of innovative solutions to meet client needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop divisional strategy to drive customer engagement and technical architecture responses.
- Participate in the analysis of Request for Information/Quote/Proposal requirements and develop responsive solutions.
- Provide updates to stakeholders on project cost, schedule, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and manage small to medium-sized teams to develop responses to customer requirements.
- Provide expert guidance and leadership to less-experienced colleagues.
- Define and delegate tasks related to project completion and participate in creating project budgets, schedules, and quality plans.
- Measure, evaluate, and assess the effectiveness of products and processes, developing new strategies for improvement.
- Support external communications and conference presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in data, data analytics, artificial intelligence, or related technical field.
- 10+ years of related technical experience in Solution Architecture and Programming.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in AI/ML, Data Management, or related technical roles with a track record of successful project delivery and team leadership.
- Experience with AI/ML strategies and platforms.
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies.
