The Carbohydrate Solutions Wet Milling Technology Group position supports plant process areas related to the processing of corn in both a wet mill and dry mill. Primary department support will be for the Feed House and the Mill. This position will support various unit operations including Steeping, Sulfur dioxide production, Grinding, Disk stack centrifuges, Pumping, Pressure screening, Gravity screening, Hydrocyclones, Dewatering, Rotary vacuum filtration, Conveying, Evaporation, Drying, Wet Feed, Corn Gluten Meal, Corn Germ, Distiller’s Dried Grains with Soluble (DDGS), and Distiller’s Corn Oil (DCO). This position will primarily support the continuous improvement and optimization of the Columbus wet and dry mill, while also sharing knowledge and collaborating with colleagues across ADM’s other wet and dry corn milling facilities in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska. The technology engineer will play a critical role in helping ADM achieve its energy intensity and sustainability goals through improvements in reliability, efficiency and yield recovery. The Technology Engineer will apply engineering principles to new and existing facilities with tasks ranging from process design to the evaluation/implementation of new technologies. The primary purpose of the position is to ensure plant process systems are designed, built, operated, and maintained at optimal levels.
