About The Position

If you are looking to actively contribute to the transformation of a fast-growing company, we are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will report to the Senior Accountant, Operational Accounting, and your primary responsibilities will include ensuring timely vendor payments and maintaining a rigorous approval follow-up process. You will also collaborate closely with various internal departments on continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of Accounts Payable experience
  • College diploma (DEC) in Accounting
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written, to support operations and clients across Canada
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience processing Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Organized, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Microsoft GP, an asset

Responsibilities

  • Manage bi-weekly electronic vendor payments
  • Prepare cheque payments
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries, reconcile statements, and resolve outstanding vendor account balances
  • Review and verify company Visa expense reports and complete monthly reconciliations
  • Maintain vendor files and banking information updates
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Complete various accounting entries and transactions
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, as well as other financial projects
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors
  • Participate in the implementation of automation initiatives aimed at optimizing operational efficiency
  • Support other members of the finance team when needed
