Seasonal employment (contract from May/June 2026 to November 2026). Evening shift schedule (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM). Shift premium for evening shifts. Start date as soon as possible.
Requirements
- Technician in chemistry, biotechnology, biology, or Bachelor's degree in science.
- Laboratory experience is an asset.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good knowledge of written and spoken French.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be well-organized and deadline-oriented.
- Ability to work with good humor in a busy environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform various organic or inorganic chemistry procedures on environmental samples (water and soil) such as sample weighing, organic extractions, digestions for metal analysis, etc.
- Provide regular laboratory support including washing glassware, sample preparation, workstation maintenance, and waste disposal.
- Use of certain basic laboratory instruments.
- Constant monitoring of samples to ensure deadlines are met.
- Follow established procedures and comply with the quality system at all times.
- Follow established health and safety measures at all times.
