As a Technical Supervisor at United FP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of systems within our fitness facilities. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining all equipment related aspects, including but not limited to fitness equipment, audio-visual systems, security systems, and other facilities related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in scheduling and dispatch environment
  • Professional and effective communicator in person, on the phone, through text, and email, with strong written and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy is a must. Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to address and solve problems in a creative, innovative, and timely manner.
  • Strong financial acumen with an ability to understand budgets, invoicing, projecting spend/savings, statistics and return on investment
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, and occasionally lift to 50 pounds and subject to a variety of physical conditions in the club environment

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the maintenance, repair, and calibration of fitness equipment to ensure member safety and optimal functionality.
  • Lead a team of technicians, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure a high standard of technical service.
  • Foster a positive team culture through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct training for technical staff and new hires on equipment usage, repairs, troubleshooting procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Stay current on technological advancements and provide ongoing education to the team.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and technical issues.
  • Generate regular reports on equipment status, technical performance, and team productivity using established KPI’s.
  • Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure all technical aspects meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the management team to manage the department budget effectively.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality and safety of technical operations.
  • Coordinate and manage third-party vendors to ensure timely, cost-effective service delivery.
  • Implement technical solutions to enhance the overall member experience within the facility.
  • Utilize member feedback and insights to improve services.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure environment for both members and staff.
  • Conduct routine field visits to ensure work quality, provide coaching, and verify equipment conditions firsthand.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the success of the Technical Services team and the overall goals of UFP.
