About the position

The Technician, Installation & Service role at Comcast focuses on providing exceptional customer experiences through broadband installation and troubleshooting. This position is designed as a trainee role, allowing individuals to develop the necessary skills and knowledge while working under supervision. The technician will perform installations, updates, and troubleshooting, ensuring adherence to safety and company standards. Continued employment is contingent upon achieving required training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations and changes of service while adhering to applicable codes and company procedures.
• Update customer accounts to ensure accurate records of products and services.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve customer inquiries and concerns to ensure products and services are functioning correctly.
• Educate customers on products and services to enhance their experience.
• Complete projects with minimal supervision and take proactive steps to engage customers.
• Demonstrate active listening and empathy to improve customer interactions.
• Use installation tools and perform jobs from high places, including climbing poles and using ladders.
• Pre-wire single and multiple dwelling units for ready hook-up capabilities.
• Drive company vehicle safely and responsibly, maintaining proper equipment for duties.
• Lift and carry loads up to 70lbs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• 0-2 years of relative work experience.
• Ability to work in various environments, including crawl spaces and attics.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to drive company vehicle.
